Delete Your Account
Last updated: November 4, 2026
Blackbird! is a card game for iPhone, iPad and Android, made by Robert Wilson. The app keeps your credits and theme packs in a Blackbird account it makes for you. This page explains how to delete that account and what happens to your information.
In the app
- Open Blackbird! and go to Settings.
- Choose Account.
- Choose Delete Account, and confirm.
The account is deleted right away. This needs an internet connection.
If you no longer have the app
The quickest way is to install Blackbird! again from the App Store or Google Play and sign in the way you did before, with Game Center, Google Play Games, Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. That brings your account back, and you can delete it as above.
If you'd rather not install it, email an account deletion request to blackbirdcardgame@gmail.com and say how you signed in. If you used Sign in with Google, send it from that Google address, or tell me the address and I'll write to it, so I can find the account and check that it's yours. I'll delete the account within 30 days and reply when it's done.
An account that was never linked to Google can't be found from an email, because it doesn't hold your name or email address. If you linked it to Game Center, Google Play Games or Apple, install the app again and sign in as above to delete it. An account that was never linked to any of them can't be found once the app is deleted, because nothing in it says whose it is.
What's deleted
- Your Blackbird account and its identifier
- Your credits and their history
- Your theme packs
- The account's links to Game Center, Google Play Games, Apple and Google, with your Google email address, name and photo link if you used Sign in with Google
- Any other Blackbird accounts that were combined into it
If you use Sign in with Apple, the app also asks Apple to remove Blackbird! from your Apple ID. If you use Sign in with Google, you can remove Blackbird! from your Google Account yourself, under third-party connections.
What's kept, and for how long
- Backups of the accounts are kept for 7 days, so a deleted account is gone from them within 7 days.
- Google removes deleted sign-in details, including a Google email address, name and photo link, from Firebase Authentication's live and backup systems within 180 days.
- Records of requests to the account, and of unusual activity on it, are kept for approximately 30 days to find problems and abuse.
- Aggregated statistics that don't identify anyone, such as how many credits were earned each day, are kept.
- Your saved game, statistics and settings stay on your device until you delete the app.
- Your achievements stay in Game Center or Google Play Games.
Usage and crash data aren't connected to your account, so deleting it doesn't delete them. The privacy policy says how long they're kept and how to ask to have them deleted.
